That is certainly the case with this figured walnut storage bench. The Oregon Black Walnut has been bookmatched, and then wrapped around the piece so that the grain flows from one face to the next. Copper splines highlight the corners of the piece.

The client wanted to make sure the piece had flexibility to accommodate storing a range of items, so the bench is designed with moveable dividers, as well as a sliding figured maple tray for smaller items.
